Our Programmes
Keeping children in school, and giving them a reason to stay there.
A child who leaves school early rarely returns. For orphans and children from struggling households, the reasons are usually small and practical: unpaid fees, no uniform, no books. MTAF works to remove those obstacles before they end an education, and to pair that help with mentorship so young people can see where their schooling leads. Our aim is not only attendance but confidence, and a generation better equipped than the one before it.
The barriers that end a child’s education are often modest in cost and decisive in effect.
Sponsorship covering fees for orphans and vulnerable children in primary and secondary education.
Books, uniforms and essential supplies, so that no child is turned away over what they lack.
Guidance from people who know the path, helping young people make informed decisions.
Continued support for children who have lost a parent, covering both schooling and welfare.
Beneficiaries apply, or a branch officer, imam or community member refers someone in need.
Support is matched to the actual situation rather than issued as a standard package.
Where possible we add training, tools or guidance so the support continues to pay off.
We stay in contact, review how the support is holding, and adjust where it is needed.
Outcomes we work towards with every household this programme reaches.
